A little bit about me:
Hello! I’m Joey and I’m an actor, singer, dancer, content creator, and kombucha fanatic born and raised in Birmingham, Michigan. I currently live in NYC where I recently graduated with a BFA in Drama at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in the New Studio on Broadway (Cum Laude with honors). I also attended the International Theatre Workshop in Amsterdam through the Experimental Theatre Wing. My passion for the stage began when my parents took me to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on Broadway when I was three years old and I fondly remember screaming bloody murder when the child catcher appeared on stage. It is no coincidence that I went on to commit my life to the arts.
RECENT PROJECTS:
May 13th I appeared in two staged readings as part of the Say Gay Plays festival at NYU Skirball which featured 10 new queer-themed plays by queer playwrights. The event was also a fundraiser for New Alternatives, a charity for LGBTQ+ homeless youth. The readings I acted in included The Greenhouse written by J. Harvey Stone and Question, verb, the imperative form by Mashuq Mushtaq Deen.
